By grinding the top surface off of a block face to reveal the aggregate matrix within the block, burnished concrete masonry units mimic the look of polished granite at a fraction of the cost. The installation of Burnished Block is similar to that of standard block, except that a sealer is usually applied afterwards to bring out the color of the aggregates.
